Abstract

Neglect is a common form of child maltreatment and is a frequently occurring reason for family separation to foster care. The Neglect and Prevention Policies Data aggregates policy information using data pulled from several sources such as federal agency legislation, implementation websites, and state-level neglect statutes. Presented as several linked data tables, this data package is designed to assist child welfare researchers with analyzing how states address neglect.
