Subject:Call for Papers: Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse
Good morning,
As jurisdictions continue to navigate Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) implementation, critical questions remain about the role and impact of the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse and how evidence-based practices are selected, delivered, and sustained. Therefore, I am pleased to share a call for papers for a special issue of the Journal of Public Child Welfare focused on the Clearinghouse and implications for implementation of the FFPSA. I am serving as a guest editor for this issue, alongside my Chapin Hall colleagues.
The special issue invites articles addressing topics such as:
* Ethical issues in the application of the Clearinghouse's evidence standards and ratings in child welfare practice
* Equity considerations in the selection and implementation of Clearinghouse-rated evidence-based practices
* Empirical studies of child and family outcomes associated with FFPSA-funded services
* Research surrounding the implementation of FFPSA-funded services, including obstacles and facilitators
* The impact of Clearinghouse standards and procedures on evidence-based practice availability and implementation
Manuscripts are due June 15, 2026. Submissions should be no more than 30 double-spaced pages (including tables, figures, and references), formatted in APA 7th edition style. Please submit online at https://www.tandfonline.com/journals/wpcw20 and indicate this special issue in your submission.
I hope you will consider submitting your work or sharing this call with colleagues whose research speaks to these questions.
Sincerely,
Claire Kimberly, Ph.D., CFLE
