THE NDACAN UPDATA Spring 2026 (Vol. 73) The NDACAN Updata is your source for important Archive announcements. SUMMER TRAINING SERIES 2026 Join us for our upcoming Summer Training Series! Our theme this year is "Laying the Groundwork." This series is designed to strengthen the foundational skills necessary to conduct high-quality, impactful research with administrative data. Through hands-on sessions, participants will gain practical experience with key aspects of administrative data, such as understanding data structures, managing data quality, linking across data sources, and data presentation. For scholars who are new to this area or are seeking to reinforce essential competencies, this series offers a thorough starting point for building rigorous research on child welfare using administrative data. Sessions will occur every Wednesday in July from 12 - 1pm (Eastern Time) via Zoom. This series is free but registration is required through the link below. * July 1st — Overview of NDACAN Administrative Datasets * Presenters: Garrett Baker, Ph.D., Duke University, and Alyssa Lindsey, University of California, San Francisco * July 8th — Data Cleaning and Management * Presenter: Alexander F. Open support topics include dataset basics, study design, analysis, and coding support. Sessions occur from 11am - 12pm (Eastern Time) on Fridays.
