Subject:Special Issue: Developing Public Health Approaches to Child Abuse and Neglect Due Nov 2026
Dear Colleagues,
We are writing to share information about a special issue we are guest editing for the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health that may be of interest to members of this listserv.
The special issue, Developing Public Health Approaches to Child Abuse and Neglect, will feature epidemiological and basic science studies may address aims that delineate the prevalence, mechanisms, economic cost, and public health impact of child maltreatment.
We are particularly interested in studies leveraging (1) epidemiological approaches, cost-of-illness/economic burden analysis, and/or population-level or large public datasets, including datasets from NDACAN and other sources; (2) community partnerships and multisector coordination with stakeholders and policymakers; and (3) rigorous analytic methods (e.g., causal inference, longitudinal multilevel models, synthetic control designs, survival analysis).
For more information on this Special Issue, including scope and description, please see the attached flyer or visit the Special Issue website at: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijerph/special_issues/5286001T3T
The submission deadline is 30 November 2026. You may send your manuscript anytime from now up until the deadline, as papers will be published on an ongoing basis. You may also send a short abstract or tentative title ahead of the full submission.
Thank you,
Drs. Jennie Noll, Justin Russotti, & Hannah Swerbenski
