Subject:Postdoctoral Fellowship Position at CSU

Good afternoon, We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team and NIH-funded project within the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University (CSU). The primary mentor for this position is Dr. Samantha Brown, Director of the Parent-Child Relationships and Well-Being Lab, at CSU in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our multidisciplinary team is made up of experts from the fields of human development and family studies, psychology, public health, and obstetrics. The project team will work closely with physician and staff partners at the Women’s Care Clinic at Denver Health Hospital Authority in Denver, Colorado. The postdoctoral research fellow will primarily work on the Perinatal Experiences, Relationships, and Infancy (PERI) project and will have opportunities to work on other projects broadly examining risk and protective pathways influencing parent and infant health and development. The PERI project aims to examine the biological, behavioral, and social pathways by which family violence is associated with infant health and development during the perinatal period. Based on their expertise, the postdoctoral research fellow will engage with the project in a variety of ways, including helping the team recruit and retain participants and collect, analyze, and interpret data. The fellow will receive systematic training in the specialized knowledge and skills related to family violence, biobehavioral risk and protective factors, and perinatal health and development. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further supervision and analytical and grant writing skills and to publish scientific papers. The fellowship is especially relevant for individuals with a doctorate in a field related to developmental psychology, early childhood development, or a related field. Candidates will be evaluated according to their scientific interest, record, and potential; potential to contribute to the research team; and commitment to pursuing scholarship that can impact social outcomes. In addition, Spanish proficiency is desirable but not required. Priority deadline to apply is April 5, 2024, and review of applications will continue on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Complete applications should include a CV, cover letter detailing experience and interest in the position, and writing sample. Candidates for this position are also encouraged to have their own car as our research may need to occur at multiple locations that are not always easily accessible with public transportation. Please contact Dr. Samantha Brown at Samantha.Brown@colostate.edu for any questions. Listing to apply: https://jobs.colostate.edu/postings/130507 -- Samantha M.
