Job Description
The College of Social Work at The Ohio State University seeks a full-time research associate to perform research and evaluation activities for interventions seeking to promote child and family wellbeing. Under the supervision of Dr. Michelle Johnson-Motoyama, faculty and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Social Work, the research associate will participate in research activities with cross-university researchers, students, and implementation teams to carry out evaluations of community-based family support programs implemented in several counties across Ohio. The research associate will assist with REDCap management; provide support to implementation teams; manage and analyze administrative and program level data; create, maintain, and revise evaluation documents; and participate in dissemination activities (including the preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and other products). Other duties of this role include conducting literature reviews, developing/refining study protocols, collecting additional data, and assisting with grant writing activities under the supervision of the Associate Dean. The Research Associate will also attend meetings remotely with evaluation team members, technical assistance partners, federal grantees, and other project partners; and other duties as assigned. This position is a full-time position, with funding available for up to three years. The duration of this position is contingent upon performance and approval of ongoing external funding.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 1-3 years of related research experience is required. Microsoft Office proficiency is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., social work) preferred. 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred. Knowledge of experimental research methods. Knowledge of Ohio’s child and family services. Experience with REDCap and children’s services administrative data.
