Position Description: The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) at Colorado State University invites applications for two Assistant Professor tenure-track positions in child and family trauma. The ideal candidate will contribute to our growing program in lifespan applied developmental science and have earned a doctorate or equivalent in areas pertinent to human development and family studies, prevention science, psychology, allied health, or behavioral health by the Fall 2023 start date. We seek experts in research relevant to populations experiencing or having a high probability of experiencing child and family trauma. Example areas of expertise related to trauma include child abuse and neglect (e.g., neurobiology, social-emotional, health, and trauma-informed practices); interpersonal trauma (e.g., peers and romantic partners); trauma-related mental health outcomes; and trauma-focused prevention, assessment, and intervention.
