Dear child maltreatment researchers, Action Research works with child welfare systems across the country, providing information, analysis, and support to illuminate paths to better outcomes for children, youth, and families. We partner with government leaders, front-line staff, think tanks, service providers, and foundations to generate insight and drive system reform. We are fast-growing and nationally organization recognized for our child welfare expertise and for producing research and analysis to drive decision-making. We seek an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with social science or applied research training, a passion for child and family services, and a strong drive to develop quantitative and qualitative research skills to work as a Research Assistant on a variety of projects aimed at improving child welfare programs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing an applied research career and/or a career within government using data to drive tangible system improvements. We are open to candidates that want to work remotely (we are based in New York City and have a preference for candidates in the eastern time zone, but Action Researchers are located in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and as far west as Seattle).
