Seeking Evaluation Capacity Building Coaches! Are you a subject matter expert who can use your knowledge, skills, and experience to support state and territorial child welfare programs? The Capacity Building Center for States (Center for States ) is seeking consultants with subject matter expertise in building evaluation capacity for child welfare agencies. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving support for states and territories, we are inviting evaluation subject matter experts who can provide consultation support to the field to apply for a role as a Center for States Capacity Building Coach! Applying is easy—just complete the application and upload your resume by February 23, 2022. What Does an Evaluation Capacity Building Coach Do? The Evaluation Capacity Building Coach (Evaluation Coach) collaborates with jurisdictional child welfare agency staff, Center for States Liaisons, and internal Center for States project teams to create evaluation plans for capacity building projects. The Evaluation Coach’s role involves supporting data collection to evaluate achievement of project goals, implementation progress, and outcomes; assisting jurisdictional teams in establishing project monitoring activities as part of effective implementation; and conducting quantitative or qualitative data collection as part of internal and external evaluation efforts to measure the effectiveness of Tailored Services activities. Who Can Be an Evaluation Coach? As an Evaluation Coach, you will have your finger on the pulse of current child welfare practices. The ideal candidate is someone who has: „ Expertise in providing training and technical assistance on a state or national level in evaluating capacity building and evaluating broad-scale projects in public service systems „ Working knowledge of child welfare data systems and continuous quality improvement systems „ Experience with and working knowledge of evaluation design, data collection, and analysis approaches commonly used in child welfare „ An understanding of implementation science frameworks for facilitating change management processes „ Demonstrated success in implementing culturally responsive, data-informed, outcome-focused, innovative, and proactive approaches to evaluation capacity building Other Key Role Information „ Evaluation Coaches will receive competitive compensation for activities that range from approximately 6 months to 18 months. „ The level of effort will depend on specific jurisdictional needs. „ Successfully vetted candidates are expected to attend all required orientation activities and training.
