Dear colleagues, The Innovation in Child and Family Wellness (Innovative Wellness) Research Group of Virginia Commonwealth University is pleased to announce a postdoctoral fellowship in the areas of Maternal and Child Health (MCH). The postdoctoral fellow will join a research team to take a project coordinator role in exploring the roles of behavioral interventions to enhance child well-being and maternal health. This fellowship is designed to prepare a postdoctoral fellow for excellence in MCH research as well as a leadership position in academic and research institutions. The postdoctoral fellow will work primarily to collect randomized controlled trial (RCT) data, collaborate on empirical papers to submit to leading journals, develop grant proposals, and take an active role in ongoing prevention and early intervention research projects. The postdoctoral fellow should have experience and substantive knowledge of MCH research and expertise in applying principles of statistical resources and procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral interventions, experience pertaining to designing and conducting RCT activities, and developing statistical models. Possession of statistical and database programming expertise to recode and transform data into analytic-ready data files and create variables to accommodate analytic needs is required. The postdoctoral fellowship is for a 12-month period, with the option to renew for an additional year, contingent on performance and funding. Please see attached for more information.
