Subject:Research study seeks participants who work as caseworkers in public child welfare

Hello, I am a doctoral student in the midst of my Capstone project and am actively recruiting current caseworkers in public child welfare to be participants for my research study titled, "The Perceptions and Practices of Child Welfare Caseworkers and Decision-Making Related to Reunification." The findings of the study will assist and inform child welfare systems in an effort to improve consistency in decision-making for children and youth removed from their home. Participant Requirements: * 18 years old (or older) * Current employment as a caseworker in public child welfare (for at least 6 months) * Assigned to working with children and families involving a placement in out-of-home care To protect the privacy of any participant, all identifying information will be kept confidential, including names, locations or any other information that could link the study results to a particular area or worker. Commitment Request: · take part in a confidential, audio recorded interview through the use of a virtual meeting (Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Skype). A phone option will also be available. (1 hour max) · review a typed transcript of your interview to make corrections if needed (email option available) (10 minutes) · speak with the researcher one time after the interview for any clarifications needed from information gained in the interview process, if needed (15-20 minutes) If you could please assist with this study I would be very grateful. There are three ways to assist: 1. participating (if you qualify) 2. forwarding the opportunity to anyone that you know of that may qualify, or 3. if you would prefer to share anyone's contact information that would meet the participant criteria, I would be happy to follow up directly. Interested participants can email me at this email address (sonjadulrich@yahoo.com) or can contact me at the number below. I will be as flexible as I can to meet the needs of potential participants on their timeframe as I know that this career path often involves long hours and days and limited time. Thank you for taking the time to read my email and support continued research in social work! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or contact me at (360) 556-2965. Respectfully, Sonja Ulrich, DSW(C), MSW
