We’re accepting a variety of proposals that focus on this year’s theme: Leveraging Data and Evaluation to Strengthen Families and Promote Well-Being. Proposals for sessions should contribute to one or more of the three primary goals of the Evaluation Summit: building evidence, strengthening practice, and informing policy. For more information on what to expect at the summit, visit our website . Don’t miss this chance to connect with peers, child welfare system partners, and the research community to promote evidence-based and evidence-informed practices that can improve outcomes! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your help in making this event a success! Don't forget to submit your proposal for findings and methods presentations, interactive workshops, expert panel discussions, issue forums, or poster presentations today! The Children's Bureau is accepting abstracts until February 1, at 11:59 p.m. ET for the 2019 National Child Welfare Evaluation Summit . The conference will be held on August 20–21, 2019, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. The Evaluation Summit is an opportunity for child welfare partners and stakeholders to join the research community in exploring relevant evaluation methods, findings, successes, and challenges that can improve child welfare services and inform our goals for the future. The Children's Bureau envisions a future child welfare system that ensures families can thrive, reduces unnecessary family disruption, and keeps children in their communities whenever possible. Data analysis, research, program evaluation, performance measurement, and ongoing continuous quality improvement are crucial to achieving a more preventative system and delivering more effective services that will ensure safety, permanency, and well-being for children, youth, and families. What are we looking for? We'll consider any proposal that substantively contributes to one or more of the three primary goals of the Evaluation Summit: building evidence, strengthening practice, and informing policy. We hope to receive proposals that address an array of topics, including: * Demonstrating efficacy and effectiveness in child welfare * Evaluating implementation and sustainability * Leveraging technology and innovation in evaluation * Conducting population-specific research and evaluation Submit a session proposal or learn more about the submission process.
