The International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect pioneered the “Thinking Space” in 2011. We are particularly excited to announce this year’s timely theme: Online Safety: Preventing Violence Against Children in Cyberspace
Each year, ISPCAN identifies a cutting edge issue through its ISPCAN Thinking Space that impacts child maltreatment globally. Experts from around the world contribute to information gathering on this topic through a virtual panel discussion, through the completion of ISPCAN’s questionnaire and presenting papers on the subject. This information is collated and analyzed according to key themes emerging from the data. The findings, conclusions and recommendations are brought together in a full report. The key findings, conclusions and recommendations are presented for further discussion and any additional contributions at ISPCAN’s regional conferences. The full report and an executive summary is then finalized for presentation at ISPCAN’s biennial International Congress in 2018 in Prague, approved by Council and published on ISPCAN’s web site.
